It’s official!

I’ve passed training and am now on the floor.  Whoo me!  The downside it that my schedule is already all wonky but nothing too bad.  I’ll take the money and try to survive.

Want to know what’s awesome?

Several people at work have ringtones from Legend of zelda: orcania of time.  Just shows you how super dorky we are.  And today one of the guys was all excited about getting his picture taken with “link” and “mario”.  Like, seriously excited.  The dorkness pools in the low lying areas around here :) .

End of week one.

Whoooooo!  Made it through the first week.  We did some actual live calls Thursday, which was all sorts of fun.  You start out a little shakey, but after the third call with the same problem you’re in the flow.

I don’t know how much “culling” there will be at the end of training but I don’t think anyone will leave willingly unless something crazy comes up.  Everyone in my “class” seems to be doing well.  I’ve seen some people being a little unsteady on live calls, but I think it all comes down to just doing it enough to feel comfortable with everything.

I don’t know what we’re doing monday but I really hope we get to play around with the wii some more.  The little I got to use it I realized how much fun it is.  *sigh* bye bye paycheck.

Just lovely, spam on the blog.

Some git has been spamming my blog the last couple of days.  And on the post about the pissed off cat of all things.  So I guess it’s time to setup Akismet.

Mildly annoyed,

Day three in the bag!

’tis done and over with.  Learned a whole bunch more fun stuff too.  And a complaint, the DS is all about “touching” so why the freaking hell do you “lose” the stylus when working with the settings?  I must’ve jabbed that screen a dozen times before I noticed the message that the stylus was being disabled.  It really makes no sense to me and I know I’ll get a similar call.

We did some roleplaying with the whole WFC stuff and I botched up a little.  We’re supposed to be following the system and not making things up as we go but for the life of me I couldn’t find the specific information so I winged it.  With my experience from the aforementioned game the call was resolved but not in the super correct way.  Live and learn.

I also park a few blocks away from the main building, fortunatly it has been nice enough out that taking a short walk in the morning is just fine.  Goodness knows I need the exercise and I haven’t quite got the commute ironed out so I have more than enough time.

Jabbing that fucking screen,

Stayin’ alive!

Well, I survived the first day.  I think the “bad” parts are due to my normal idiotic self destruction worrying about the job before I’m actually there.  Should get easier as time goes along.

Call me tired,
